Safety Masters™ is an operational performance and safety mastery program. It is designed to help leaders develop a high-performance workplace culture that is adaptive, resilient and engaging. The approach is underpinned by the principles of Human and Organizational Performance and Systems Leadership. It is unique in that it addresses the human, technical, and organizational aspects of work.
Consultant-led sessions include the development of organization-specific action plans using Safety Masters’ own benchmarking and planning framework. Sessions are designed to be interactive, experiential, results-oriented, and adaptable to individual client needs. To ensure effective sponsorship, collaboration and coordination of action plans, sessions encourage vertical integration by targeting 3 levels of leadership: Executive, Mid-Manager, and Frontline Supervisor.

About Safety Masters™
Partnering for your success
Safety Masters™ was created by David Putnam and Lisa Deguire. They recognized a need to evolve operational and safety leadership to address all aspects of work: technical, social and commercial. The program combines their respective expertise in safety, risk management, organizational effectiveness and leadership development.
David Putnam
David Putnam is a health, safety and environment (HSE) professional with more than 30 years of experience working with a diverse group of industrial sectors, including: mining, petroleum, steel, and various manufacturing businesses. His experience includes: HSE risk management, major project development, environmental engineering and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
David’s emphasis is the dynamic interaction between systems used to mitigate critical risk and organizational factors that enable resilient workplaces. His approach integrates systems thinking and collaboration to create organizational learning and improvement.
David has consulted with client senior leadership in the areas of management system design, legal compliance, due diligence reviews, significant incident investigations, and plant energy and process improvements. During his career he has completed consulting assignments in North America, South America, Russia and India.

Lisa Deguire
Lisa Deguire is a Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP), a Human Capital Strategist (HCS), and a Certified ROI Professional (CRP). She holds a technical degree in Science, a diploma in adult learning and 4 HR related specializations.
In her 20 years of corporate work, Lisa held various leadership roles in Human Resources, specializing in learning, leadership, organizational effectiveness, and talent management. While she was the Head of Global Talent Management at IAMGOLD, her work garnered industry attention and 2 professional awards for the implementation of their Supervisory Leadership Development Program (SLDP).
Lisa is a Change Agent. She thrives on helping organizations and leaders to grow and evolve. She brings a practical approach to solving human issues in the workplace by engineering effective management practices that remove the “guess work” out of leadership.
